Guo Wei is Chairman of the Board at DC Holdings. Prior to this appointment, he had served as Vice Chairman, President and the Chief Executive Officer of the company beginning in February 2001. In December 2007 he was appointed Chairman of the Board as well as director of several subsidiary companies associated with DC Holdings. Mr. Guo obtained a Master’s Degree in Management from the Chinese Academy of Science (formerly the University of Science and Technology of China) in 1988. He joined the Legend Group in 1988, serving as both an executive director and senior vice president of that group.
In 2000, the DC Holdings team was formed under the leadership of Mr. Guo to embark on a new venture. DC Holdings subsequently emerged as “China’s First Name in IT Services.” Directed by Mr. Guo, DC Holdings set out to fulfill the mission of “Digitalized China.” After years of work in both project execution as well as conceptual innovation, DC Holdings is now a provider of integrated IT services which are made possible thanks to its access to a diverse range of international resources. In 2010, Mr. Guo took yet another step, introducing DC Holdings’s “[email protected] City” strategy. Created in response to the call for the integration of urbanization, information and industrialization by the 12th Five Year Plan, his strategy focuses on providing “integrated services” to major urban areas. DC Holdings’s “[email protected] Cities” will promote the development of a new model of urbanization in China, serving as a key factor in the next 5 to 10 years as they work towards the vision of a “Digitalized China.”
Mr. Guo has over 26 years of experience in strategy development and business management. He was named one of the “50 Most Powerful Business Elites in China” by Fortune China for three years in a row beginning in 2011. Other important accolades include being named one of China’s Top Ten Outstanding Youths in Science and Technology Innovation (1998), one of China’s Top Ten Outstanding Youths (2002), a “Practical and Outstanding Youth of Achievement” by China Association for Science and Technology (2002) and a Future Economic Leader of China (2003). He also won the First Annual “China Young Entrepreneurs Creative Management Golden Honor” (2005) and the “20th Anniversary of Zhongguancun Technology Park – Outstanding Contributions Award” (2008), along with being named one of the “Top Ten Meritorious Persons of China’s Software Industry” (2011).
Mr. Guo holds numerous public offices including Standing Committee Member of the 12th National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference, member of the Fourth Advisory Committee for State Informatization, Chairman of Beijing Informatization Association, Chairman of the Strategic Alliance for Technological Innovation in China’s Smart City Industry, and Chairman of the Sixth Council of the China Non-Governmental Science and Technology Entrepreneurs Association.
Lin Yang, who was born in 1966, is the Chief Executive Officer and Executive Director of DC Holdings. He is responsible for the company’s overall business management and serves as director of several subsidiary companies associated with DC Holdings. Mr. Lin graduated in 1988 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Computing Communications from Xidian University, and in 2005 he obtained a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from the Cheung Kong Graduate School of Business. Mr. Lin was serving as the Executive Vice President and President of DC Holdings Holdings before his appointment as Chief Executive Officer in April 2011. He has gained over 20 years of management experience since he joined Legend Group in 1990. In the past few years, Mr. Lin has been committed to the planning and management of the company’s strategic business operations. Early on, he led a team to explore and promote the smart city business model, producing impressive results. Mr. Lin was awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award by the IT Channel Elite Panel (2001), and he was recognized as one of the Most Influential Figures in IT Distribution Over 20 Years (2005). He was also named one of the Leaders of China’s Information Industry (2011, 2012) and one of Zhongguancun’s Top Ten People of the Year (2012). Mr. Lin also serves as Chairman of the IT Channel Sub-committee of the IT Industry Chamber of Commerce under the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology.
